How I Photograph the Wedding Guest Experience

To achieve the documentary-meets-editorial feel my couples love, my images are directed or guided—never posed. That includes my photos of your guests. When appropriate, I direct a moment to a certain space, with ideal light or a clean background. Otherwise, I allow candid interactions and reactions to unfold. My primary concern is always your guests’ comfort because people look their best when comfortable. Comfort leads to confidence, which leads to amazing photos!

Some couples feel concerned that I will miss their key moments while preoccupied with capturing the wedding guest experience, but rest assured, the two of you remain my top priority. I have a great team so I never have to attempt to photograph a wedding weekend by myself. Most of my couples invest in three photographers, especially if they will have multiple events or want longer coverage. But, booking at least two is essential. In addition to on-the-ground film and digital coverage, we offer drone imagery to capture those unexpected angles.
